Uproar Over Unannounced Tree Cutting

Many Rockridge residents were startled when, in mid-August, 14 trees and several native plant shrubs in the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) parking lots at Claremont, Cavour and Miles avenues and traversed by Temescal Creek, were cut down or trimmed without prior notice. The work – and the extent of it – surprised residents living nearby.

ABOUT FROG PARK

The Rockridge-Temescal Greenbelt was created in 2001, culminating years of community effort. FROG Park has since become a central community feature. Hardy and Redondo playgrounds are focal points for children and walkers stroll the connecting greenbelt path, which is fully accessible for the disabled.

FROG Park Restroom Opens At Last

The new Frog Park bathroom is open for park users, after a very long wait. Back during the Big Build of 2001, FROG committed to maintain the Porta-potty at the bathroom as the need was so obvious. And now, almost 10 years later, we have a real bathroom, at last!
