‘First Saturday’ Cleanup Spruces Up Frog Park

Over 30 service club and community members worked together during April’s “First Saturday” work day to clear tree trimmings, remove ivy, sweep, rake, prune, pick up debris, clear the area around the sand box, clean out the pond bed in preparation for turning on the creek, and perform other general cleanup.

The Rockridge-Temescal Greenbelt was created in 2001, culminating years of community effort. FROG Park has since become a central community feature. Hardy and Redondo playgrounds are focal points for children and walkers stroll the connecting greenbelt path, which is fully accessible for the disabled.

Saturday, September 22 was annual maintenance day at FROG Park. With 100 students and teachers from College Preparatory School and a dozen community
