{short description of image}

Saturday September 18, 2004 (8:00am-5:00pm)
You are invited to Friends of Rockridge-Temescal Greenbelt (FROG)'s next semi-annual work party - coming Saturday, September 18th, 8:00am to 5pm. Join us for the day or even an hour, as we improve the playgrounds and clean up the creek/landscaping around the play structures. Bagels and coffee will be provided first-come, first-served, so show up early! Sign in at either of the registration tables located at the Hardy Park and Redondo play structures before getting to work. Click here for directions. We will break for lunch at noon in Hardy Park. Thank you College Prep High School for your commitment of support to this fall maintenance event! We couldn't do it without you!

Skilled Labor Needed for Special Projects
While most volunteers will help on regular maintenance, Frog needs a few skilled volunteers to build a fence at the Hardy sandbox, repair the Redondo bulletin board, and take on other skilled projects. If you know how to use power tools, we need your help on these special projects. Please contact Carroll Moore to sign up.

Playgrounds Closed to Get the Job Done Right
This event will include the use of power tools, so please do not bring any pre-teens or younger children. Teenagers less than 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult or come with evidence of parental authorization to participate. We will be sealing the wood on the play structure; therefore, both playgrounds will be closed for at least one full day to allow the sealant to dry. Thank you for helping us keep the FROG Maintenance Day safe.

Picnic Lunch in Hardy Park
FROG will host a picnic lunch in Hardy Park from 12 noon to 12:30pm for all volunteers. We're grilling up Niman Ranch hot dogs and fixings. Bring your own meatless alternative. Beverages, chips and fruit will also be provided. If you would like to bring a salad or dish for the group, please let us know by calling Kate at 658-7833.

What to Bring
Please bring: gloves, a water bottle, a garden rake, a broom and a shovel, if possible. Mark your name and phone number on any of your belongings to ensure their return. Please sign in at the volunteer check-in table at either of the Hardy Park or Redondo playgrounds before getting to work.

FROG needs some basic tools and equipment for the day. If you can lend us any of these items, please let us know by contacting Carroll Moore:

Thanks. Hope to see you there!
